The Edinburgh Life in the UK test centre is run by MTS at 40 Sciennes, on the ground floor in the Newington district just south of the city centre and close to the Meadows. It's a residential, university-fringe part of town that serves candidates from across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife sitting the Life in the UK test.

About the Life in the UK test

The Life in the UK test has 24 multiple-choice questions. You have 45 minutes to complete it and need at least 18 out of 24 (75%) to pass. It covers British history, traditions, values, government, and everyday life.

Results are given immediately after the test. If you pass, you receive a letter confirming your result, which you need for your settlement or citizenship application.
