The Aberdeen Life in the UK test centre is run by PSI on the ground floor of North East Scotland College's city campus on the Gallowgate, just north-west of Aberdeen city centre. Getting to the Aberdeen test centre

• •Aberdeen railway station is about a kilometre south of the campus, roughly a 15–20 minute walk through the city centre, or a short bus or taxi ride.
• •Aberdeen's central bus network serves the city centre close to the college, with Union Street and nearby stops a short walk from the Gallowgate.
• •By car the centre is reached via the A90 and the city-centre streets; the AB25 1BN postcode leads to the Gallowgate, though city-centre driving can be busy.
• •As a city-centre college location there is no dedicated visitor car park, so most candidates use nearby public and pay-and-display car parks in the centre and walk the short distance to the Gallowgate.

About the Life in the UK test

The Life in the UK test has 24 multiple-choice questions. You have 45 minutes to complete it and need at least 18 out of 24 (75%) to pass. It covers British history, traditions, values, government, and everyday life.

Results are given immediately after the test. If you pass, you receive a letter confirming your result, which you need for your settlement or citizenship application.
