The Bristol Life in the UK test centre is run by PSI on the ground floor of Creswicke House, 9-11 Small Street, in the historic old-city core near the law courts and Corn Street. Its central position makes it easy to reach for candidates from across Bristol, Bath and the wider South West region.

Getting to the Bristol test centre

• •Bristol Temple Meads is the main railway station, roughly a 15-minute walk or a short bus or taxi ride away.
• •The Centre bus interchange is only a couple of minutes away, with many city bus routes stopping nearby.
• •Small Street sits in Bristol's busy old city, so driving in is congested and parking is limited — public transport is usually easier.
• •There is no parking at Creswicke House and Small Street is in a tight city-centre street pattern; use a nearby public or NCP car park in the centre and walk the short distance in.

The Life in the UK test has 24 multiple-choice questions. You have 45 minutes to complete it and need at least 18 out of 24 (75%) to pass. It covers British history, traditions, values, government, and everyday life.

Results are given immediately after the test. If you pass, you receive a letter confirming your result, which you need for your settlement or citizenship application.
